Mail Call Monday! - Fuller Lashes with Eyeliner
Hello all, It's Monday, and that means mail time! I haven't done one of these in a while because I've been so busy, but hopefully I can get it back into a routine.
Today's question is from Erica:
Hi Belle,My lashes are pretty sparse, so how can I apply my eyeliner in a way to make my lashes appear fuller?
And I know what you mean Erica; I was born with those silly invisible lashes as well.
But here are some tips for applying eyeliner to make them look fuller.
1. Line as closely to the lashline as possible - On the upper lashline, line as closely to the lashes as possible, getting in between the lashes. For more drama, make the line just slightly thicker. This will create the effect of more lashes.
2. Tightline - This is an important step that a lot of people forget. Tightlining is basically lining your upper waterline; it eliminates the white space between your eye and your lashes, and the darkness makes your look more intense and your lashes look fuller.
3. Curl your lashes - My lashes naturally stick straight down, so even if I apply all the eyeliner in the world, my lashes will still look non-existent if I don't curl them. Curling them will open up your eyes, and you'll be able to see the effect of the eyeliner much better.
Annnd here's an up close and personal eye shot. See the difference?

And that's with no mascara folks (or any other makeup for that matter). See what a difference tightlining and curling your lashes makes?Of course, there's only so much eyeliner can do, so if you want some real drama in your lashes, find a good volumizing mascara. I would recommend Covergirl Lash Blast or Maybelline the Falsies.
Hope this helps you out!
Love, Belle
