After our article on kidney cleansing with beetroot juice and parsley, Melissa, one of our registered nutritionists in Wyoming, emailed me in regards to rhubarb’s benefits and magical powers. With her advise, I have started my research and wanted to share it with you in Bids By Pros.
Rhubarb grows in warmer climates. With heated greenhouses, it is available throughout the year. The plant can grow anywhere and does not require much care and water. Rhubarb stems look like celery with pink color. The leaves are poisonous if consumed in large quantity. Although it has large leaves, it is considered as part of fruit family in United State as of 1947 for the purpose of regulation and duties. The stalks can be eaten raw just like celery or be cooked in stew, deserts like pie or make frozen as ice cream. This healthy fruit is highly antioxidants and helps with cleansing your stomach and intestines.

Many people use vitamin C to ease the flue and cold. Although it is not a direct healer of flue or cold, vitamin C increases the immune system and the activity of white blood cells. It has no side effects and can be taken daily to balance the immune system and the excess vitamin C exits the body through bladder and intestines.

It helps with Diabetes. Vitamin K helps with blood clots when injured and prevents excess blood loss. Vitamin K has a direct role in bone health by providing osteotrophic (bone formation and strengthening).

What is the benefit of Calcium?

Calcium is essential for bone and teeth structure. Calcium is also known for its benefit for weight loss and trimming our body fat cells since it increases the body metabolism. It also helps with blood pressure through vegetarian diet program, which is high in Calcium. Kidney is an intelligent balance control entity, which moderates the consumption of calcium in a proper amount that body needs. Excess Calcium consumption that goes beyond the control of kidney moderation causes kidney stones. Everything is good if it is in moderation.
