Maggie Holmes Design Team : Floral Cards

By Jcchris
Hello crafty friends! Today, I would love to share with you cards that I created with the very pretty collections by Maggie Holmes. Cards are pretty easy to put together and they are perfect for any occasion! Once you have a 'sketch' in your mind or on paper, the design will come naturally as you put all the elements together.

I love transforming this smaller art canvas by using one of my favorite techniques that are fussy cutting & layering. There are so many ways that you can add on to your cards just by creating dimension. And by adding foam dots, you can create that 3d look to your cards too. I love that Crate Paper has so many amazing products that have different texture and dimension that you can use as you create!

When I create cards, I love making the cards 'uniform' looking so they all look cohesive. By doing so, it will help me to focus better & that I don't have to spend too much time on each card. This round, I decided to go with floral as my main focus and layered with some tags.

All these cards pretty simple to create. I cut all the tags out from the patterned paper with the intention to layer them on the cards for a fuller look. I kept each card pretty similar with choosing bold background, floral paper cutting or sticker in the center and completed them with sentiments.

So the next time when you are running out of ideas, create something smaller to begin with! Somehow, you will find your inspirations again. Hope these cards inspire you to create one today! Thank you so much for coming by!
