Maggie Holmes Design Team : Darling Moment

By Jcchris
Every now & then, I like to pick older photo(s) to scrap. It is really great to see the changes and to look back on how things have changed our lives. This particular photo was taken on my daughter's 2nd birthday in 2015. And I had this idea to journal my thoughts about her and to let her know what is about to happen in 2016. It's amazing how a photo can speak so much about reflection in life. And the beauty of all this, we can choose to scrapbook the thoughts and reflections so we may remember them for a long time to come!
I begin my process by placing the title in the middle, towards the top. Next, I positioned the photo to the left. Adhered the papers at the top and finally worked my way down by adding embellishments. I knew I wanted to have more space for journaling so I left some empty spaces in the middle in between of all the beautiful embellishments. Once I'm done with the composition and placement of the embellishments, I completed my layout with some stitching at the top and bottom + splattered some gold mists.
