Maggie Holmes Design Team : Darling

Hello lovely friends! Today's post is all about Maggie's newest collection called Shine! I've mentioned it before, but can't help but say it again... this collection is just so beautiful! It can go with so many different themes. So many possibilities! And of course, I had to use all the pretties on my layout today! My hubby & I will be celebrating our 10th year anniversary in November. With that in mind, I decided to I scrap a layout with our current look of the both of us so we can remember it for a long time to come.
Let me share with you my creative process...I started by pasting the black & white patterned paper on the left side. Then, I used the gesso to paint it over the paper to give a subtle look & it does not look too contrast with the white cardstock on the right side. Once that is dried, I painted light yellow onto the white cardstock. Then I started to arrange the fussy-cut florals in the middle the papers. Adhered the black & gold glittered frame, followed by the typewriter and slowly add elements (stickers, ephemera) all around the frame. I also did repeated stamping "Always & Forever" at the top of the frame. And as always, I completed my layout with hand-journaling.
