Made In Punjab Comes to DLF Mall of India, Noida!

By Thetastingfork
Opened in the newest and the most buzzing mall of Noida, DLF Mall of India, Made In Punjab is arguably the most popular Indian restaurant in that mall now. A preferred choice for people who are looking to have delicious Indian food with a twist, having a buffet for both lunch and dinner along with ala carte only adds to their popularity.
A huge restaurant space with a high ceiling, glass work everywhere, buffet counters in an elevated space, and comfortable sofa seating with cushioned chairs too, Made In Punjab is spot on with their interiors.Made In Punjab comes to DLF Mall of India, Noida!

The Sarson Olive Macchi is marinated in mustard- a very delicious with the fish coated in thick masalas and topped with drops of olive flavoured dip. The Fish Fry was another dish packed with flavor but more subtler in taste. Crisp and light, long fish fingers served with a nimboo chutney. But the favorite of the lot is the Lol Tikki. Finely minced mutton with a slight sour taste, bits of ginger, topped with tomato chutney. Outstanding flavour! Crisp and thin on the outside and soft and flavourful on the inside. The variety that MIP has in their menu is too impressive. And if the fish and lamb wasn’t enough to floor me,  Legacy Tandoori Champ which was lamb ribs, was coated in a ghotna spice mix- one bite in enough to tell you about the softness and burst of spices in this. In the starters, Kalmi Kebab was the only dish I felt wasn’t up to the mark. A little bland in taste.Made In Punjab comes to DLF Mall of India, Noida!
Main course was a completely divine affair! Do not exit MIP without trying their Luxury Butter Chicken! This is a richer take on the usual butter chicken. The thick gravy had loads of cashews, white butter and cream, I know it seems quite heavy and the health conscious people would like to stay away from it, but the taste of the gravy is really something you should let go of your diet for. Heavy, no doubt, but finger-licking good, and with a lovely finish of silver warq on top! They get their Dal Makhni right too. Not the most phenomenal one I’ve had, but pretty damn good! And if you miss Old Delhi and the Nalli Nihari there, then MIP has that for you on their menu. You don’t need to take a trip all the way to Old Delhi for this delicacy, because you get a refined version of it here. Lamb Shanks in a gravy of onion and yoghurt, very very aromatic. Before I could even dive into my food, the aroma of the Nalli Hard Kaur (or is it core?) was drawing me towards it. Some smacking garlic butter naan and laal mirch paranthas to go with this, and I was going to burst with my tummy so full.Made In Punjab comes to DLF Mall of India, Noida!

The quality of the meats was excellent, the food was made with finesse and you could see that in each dish (and also its plating). The servers know their menu well so you can totally rely on them for suggestions. Will I come back to MIP? Of course! Just a word of advice: be prepared to wait outside the restaurant because it’s so packed all the time! So reach a little earlier than you would like to have your meal at. They also don’t have their liquor license yet and are in the process of getting it. In fact, most places in that mall don’t have liquor licenses yet. So get your alcohol fix elsewhere and come here. But no liquor license really isn’t dampening the crowds, looking at the long queues outside the restaurant. Delicious Indian fare! Must must try if you’re a fan of Indian cuisine.
