This takes me back to my school days and consequently makes me nostalgic when I earnestly looked forward for the art and craft sessions just to get out of boring textbooks and do some real fun armed with pen, pencil, paper, crayons and paintbrush. What an amazing competition it used to be, to make the best in the class and garner all the accolades and appreciation!!
These days when my about to be 3 year old asks me to draw petty things like – fish, house, doll, car, butterfly etc, even holding a pen seems like a Godzilla task to me. Anyway, I somehow manage to draw her decent figures and easy-peasy paper fans, paper flowers and boats. Because that’s all I have managed to remember….sob…sob!!
But now Rob, the magical craftsman who has been a kids’ favorite since a long time comes like a life-saver. Every single episode keeps you deeply hooked as Rob with his ingenious talent renovates simple, run of the mill material into splendid creations of art. His clever resourcefulness is unbeatable. The crisp, clear, cool, cheerful persona keeps you glued to him.
The conception and creation are indeed a delightful excursion to your eyes which are absolutely smooth and electrifying for everyone (strictly no age bar) to experiment and flash around. Oh yes, I did try out several things and earned a lot of ooohhhs and aaahhss…!!! We as parents do need to sit back, revive and revise our creative side to assist our kiddos. What say…huh???
From innovative drawing and painting tricks, to playing with paper, using the waste to make the best, to performing with shadows and silhouettes was by no means this amusing.
To enhance it even more, Rob along with Sony Music has launched his channel Mad Stuff With Rob specially designed for kids and adults to give us the most fabulous taste of art and craft. This couldn’t get better when this special episode has a starry connection.
Yes, its Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur who team up with the Guru of art and craft, Rob to create an X-cellent optical illusion that you can try out at home using some very basic stuff and the result is just fantastic. This crafty-rafty creation is also to promote their science fiction thriller flick Mr. X that has Emraan as a vigilante superhero and Amyra plays his love interest. Finally a movie in the lines of Chhota Chetan and Mr. India, I am waiting to hit the theatres soon and watch this power-packed performance with a catchy music in tow.
