On the occasion of their 25th anniversary, MAC celebrates everyone’s favorite animated family, to debut this September. For someone who wears the same green dress and beaded necklace every day, Marge Simpson is quite the style icon. Not only has the gravel-voiced matriarch been “shot” alongside Linda Evangelista and Karl Lagerfeld for Harper’s Bazaar, and sketched wearing dresses by designers from Victoria Beckham to Yves Saint Laurent, she is now the face of MAC Cosmetics.

MAC The Simpsons will be available for pre-sale one day only during San Diego’s Comic-Con July 26 exclusively at MAC Cosmetics Gaslamp store in San Diego. Then officially in stores on September 4 (and online at MACcosmetics.com August 28). Full details of the collection have yet to be announced, but there is anticipation of plenty of primary colors and, possibly a bright yellow foundation. Also, given Marge’s Anna Wintour-like dedication to her statement coiffure, super-strength hairspray would be a good call.

Springfield’s most-stylish woman is getting honored in makeup form! This isn’t the first time the beauty brand has gotten animated — Wonder Woman, the girls of Archie Comics, Disney’s villains, and even Hello Kitty have inspired past collections, the extensive color palette showcased in each Simpsons episode provided the perfect reference point. Although ww have yet to see the product lineup, but if the blue-haired icon’s personal style choices serve as a hint, we’re hoping to see a brightly-colored lipsticks, yellow nail lacquers, and bold blue eye shadows.
