MAC Vs. Rimmel: Primer

MAC vs. Rimmel: Primer
A primer is an essential for me. It allows smooth application of foundation, and obviously helps my make-up to stay on for longer. I like both Rimmel and MAC primers however there are definite differences between the two.
MAC vs. Rimmel: Primer
Rimmel Fix & Perfect PrimerThis primer is great as a cheap starter product. This was the first primer I ever bought, to see if they really were worth the hype, and since this, I have never gone back.It smooths nicely onto my skin and after it has absorbed, leaves a good base ready for foundation application. It does take a few moments to absorb, so you have to be careful on how much you apply. It gives my foundation a nice dewy finish and prevents it from going patchy. Since using a higher branded primer, it has made me realize that it isn't the best at helping foundation stay on for longer. I find it is better to apply to create a smooth base, however it does allow foundation to stay perfect for a few hours. At only £5.99, you can't expect miracles, but it's a great product to pick up if you are wanting to try a primer - but not wanting to break the bank.

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance I have previously reviewed this product, so for a full review please click the link above. So as expected, there is a distinct difference between this product and Rimmels' product.I will not apply my foundation without applying this primer underneath. It smooths beautifully over my skin and absorbs quickly. My foundation goes on so much easier and leaves a natural looking, dewy finish. The primer gives my skin a radiant look, leaving my skin looking much healthier & more glowy. The radiant shine is long lasting, and the primer allows my foundation to stay on almost all day.The primer is very light, so it allows my skin to breathe and in time is helping my become clearer. Although it is much more expensive than Rimmels' primer, it is certainly worth paying the extra, as a little goes a long way, and you certainly get what you pay for.
