Say hello to my new favorite shampoo! I'd heard so much about the solid shampoo bars from Lush and after popping in to speak to one of the lovely girls in the Buchanan Street store, I had to try one of the bars for myself. For reference, I have long hair which is fairly dry at the ends after years of colouring (I'm now growing my natural color back in and have a bit of ombre going on), and I also have very oily roots which is so annoying. I try my best to hold off and wash my hair every 2 or 3 days and this means that I need my shampoo to do its job very well. I was advised that the Seanik Shampoo Bar would be my best option as it's intended to give your hair a good clean and also add a bit of volume which is always a plus.
As you can see, Seanik is a blue shampoo bar with bits of seaweed inside it too. It may not be the prettiest shampoo bar you've ever seen by I have to say it does an amazing job of leaving my hair super clean and very shiny with a nice bit of lift from the roots. The shampoo bar contains seaweed in order to soften the hair and also sea salt which is used to add volume to your hair and the bar lathers up so easily when you give it a rub under running water, making it so quick and easy to use when you're washing your hair. The beauty of these solid shampoo bars is that they take up next-to-no-room in the shower and also last you a lot longer than a normal bottle of liquid shampoo, with me being advised that this bar would last me around 50 washes. What's even better is that this number will be even higher for those of you with shorter hair, hurrah. The scent is very fresh which makes my showers even nicer as it's such a lovely and refreshing smell.
If you're on the market for a shampoo which gives you clean, shiny and volumised hair then I'd definitely recommend the Lush Seanik Shampoo Bar! I don't have a bad thing to say about this product and just wish that I'd given it a go much sooner. You can find Seanik and the other shampoo bars in Lush for £5.50.
