Lumino Kinetic and Beyond

Posted on the 11 February 2013 by Ningauble @AliAksoz

The Lumino Kinetic and Beyond media project explores the properties of light and perception of space. The project has been presented at the digital media installation event IDAS (hongik university and has been developed by Japanese designer Yuri endo. Yuri developed the project for the final phase of his thesis project, elaborating on the previous experimentation, ‘luminous specimen‘ which concentrates on the development of interactive art, where glass prisms and 3D animations are manipulated based on an illusionist techniques dubbed as ‘pepper’s ghost’.

The combination of 3D animations, glass prisms and an illusion technique create a cool form of installation art. Practical purposes for Endo’s Lumino Kinetic project might not abound, but it is definitely nice to look at.
