Löw Makes Initial Euro 2012 List

By Simplyfutb01 @simplyjuan11

German national team coach Joachim Löw announced his 27-man Euro 2012 squad where he had some interesting players appear as well as some that were not present.

The one that is duly noted for his absence is that of Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin. Chelsea’s newest acquisition was tough to leave out but when there are players the likes of  Marco Reus, Mario Götze, Mesut Özil and Adam Schurrle in front of him it would be tough to leave someone else behind.

Also the additions of Schalke teenage star Julian Draxler as well as Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen. There was also a significant addition with that of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gündogan who was instrumental in the yellow and black’s second consecutive title.  Those were the names that were questioned on Löw’s list, although there are question marks as to them being included in the final list at the end of the month.

Outside of those names, the roster maintains the nucleus that is has had since Löw took over as national team coach for Jürgen Klinsmann.

The official list has to be reduced to 23 men and turned in to UEFA by May 29th.

Die Mannschafft will be in Group C where they will face Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
