Omaha.com reports on a slightly different story.
Homicides are up from last year. Rapes have increased. Burglaries and vehicle thefts are also on the rise, according to Omaha Police Department statistics.
So, which is it? The video makes no mention of even a single problem with all the new gun permit holders, yet the other report tells us Iowa had a bad year.
Can we agree that either of two things are true?
1. Double the number of gun permits in Iowa has caused the violent crime rate to increase, or
2. Double the number of gun permits in Iowa has not achieved the John-Lott fantasy doctrine of More Guns Less Crime.
