I haven’t done a nail polish post for a while and as this is my most reached for shade recently, it seemed apt that it should get a post all of it’s own.
In contrast to the current Spring-like weather (although it is raining as I write this) I have shied away from the popular pastels in favour for a more vampy shade in the form of Look Beauty‘s Twilight (Shade 27). A dark cherry red that is almost black, it is best described as a black forest gateau shade for your nails.
In some lights it looks completely black, in others more red but it is long lasting, easy to apply and leaves a good shiny finish. Two coats is plenty to achieve an opaque hue and I love how chic it makes my nails look. A very Kardashian shade.
It is also very much like Revlon’s Vixen shade (which I love) and Chanel’s Rouge Noir so a great double dupe if you like, on the cheaper end of the scale.
No doubt I will be cracking out the pastel shades soon, but for now I am feeling Gothic…
