London Fashion Week: SS13 Day 3

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
After falling asleep like a baby, I emerged to the morning sunshine then lugged my over-sized suitcase to Somerset House for storage.  I was greeted by the lovely American Express staff who helped me find my way, before once again seeking coffee.  Today was a less frantic one, as I had a morning catwalk show, then most of my plans circulating around the exhibition.

If I had to give the range a specific name I'd like to call it all neon glam.

Each print on the posters were different, and an artistic creation from various designers.

The great thing about this exhibition is that there is such a variety, it truly catered to all walks of people.  If you had a certain look or style, you could most positively find something you would fall in love with.  It did give a insight to what to expect from SS13, and of course the new key upcoming designers to watch out for.
London Fashion Week: SS13 Day 3 You'll see in the photo above a scarf from the exhibition, it's by the designer Emma Shipley.
I do love to wear scarves, but often feel sometimes uninspired by what I see out there in stores.  After seeing Emma's peices, my hesistant opinion about scarves went immediately out the window. I was simply astonished by how much talent this lady had with what she created.  At her display she had images of some amazing sketches, with so much detail in them.  It turns out, these were Emma's own sketches and are used in her scarf creations.  The reason I fell in love with this so much, was because being someone who draws, I know how much time it takes or even the time it takes to feel inspired to draw! Her images are all unique for each scarf, and each scarf was in array of colours.   They are simply fantastic, so watch out for them.  To find out more look at her website - Emma Shipley
After a long morning trotting about eyeing up all the fabulous clothing, it was soon 2pm and I had a cocktail date at the beautiful One Aldywch Hotel.  A venue that was luckily only a stones throw away from Somerset House, and set in the ideal location to be in walking distance of anything shopping related!  Myself and the lovely Sarah were treated to some delicious cocktails.  I decided to go for the exclusive London Fashion Week cocktail, called Fashion 75.

London Fashion Week: SS13 Day 3 I had a great morning followed by a lovely afternoon sipping on cocktails, in such a beautiful setting.  The sun was shining, and it had been a super trip to London to see so many innovative designers.  To round it up, it was a sucessful event and awesome to highlight what to expect in SS13.   If what I saw is to be expected, then I can't wait for next year when I can wear such items!
