Lived-in

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising SprayNow, I have had pretty straight hair all my life. I have lots of it - it's thick - and has very little natural wave to it. I'm lucky enough to not need to straighten my hair to achieve sleekness; it is naturally smooth, although sometimes has a few kinks as I have layers cut into my hair. Since growing my hair as long as it is now, it has started to develop more of a wave, especially at the back of my head. I love wavy hair, and though I appreciate that the grass is always greener, I would love to be able to have wavy hair on a daily basis. Straight just gets so boring! Now everyone has heard of Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray, but retailing at £19.50 for 125ml I just couldn't justify it. When mooching around Boots the other day I noticed this Toni & Guy dupe. The full sized version (200ml) comes in at £7.19, but as you can see from the images I picked up the mini travel-sized version for £2.19What they say: Creates texture and body for a lived-in, beach look. Spray evenly over dry hair to create tousled waves and style with fingers. Now I used this product almost everyday whilst I was on holiday - in the UK it is almost impossible to create waves without using straighteners/tongs. When I leave my hair to dry naturally (in the sun) my hair does have a small amount of wave, but using this spray helped to enhance it - slightly. I spritzed this into damp hair and messed it up with my hands, then left to dry. Now, this wasn't a miracle product - it didn't make that much of a difference, but it did help to separate my waves, give that slightly 'tousled' look and keep them in for a longer period of time. Would I buy the full size of this product? Erm, no. For £2 something I am happy to use it, but wouldn't say its worth £7+ for the results I got. lived-inHave you tried this product, or similar salt/texturising sprays? I would be interested to see if it works on different hair types - I know mine is quite subborn!
