Last Christmas I wrote about how Little Mr A had sat and written out all of his Christmas cards to his friends, which took him hours over a few days, only to receive a few back actually written by his friends.
This year I seriously wondered whether it would be worth the effort of me sitting with him to get them done. Sunday afternoon I decided to give it a go. He said he really wanted to write them so, having a bit of free time, I sat down with him and made a list of his teachers and friends who he wanted to write cards too.
I am really impressed with how far he has come in just a year. His writing is really neat and he was so quick! We managed 29 cards in less than an hour with him writing in the cards and me writing on the envelopes!
He was so pleased with himself and couldn’t wait to give them out on Monday morning. He even asked if he could write some more on Monday night when he got home from school!
Well done Little Mr A, it was definitely a much less stressful experience this year! Next year you can write mine for me too!
