This book could not have come at a better time for me. I’ve been struggling with new ideas for breakfast, so this was perfect! This book has a recipe for everyone! Some simple, some with more steps. All with healthy, paleo ingredients. I had the chance to make two recipes today, to prepare breakfasts for the week for my family and me. I chose to make the Crustless Red Onion Quiche and the Spicy Breakfast Sausages. I was surprised at the flavor that these recipes had! Super YUM! I liked that the book uses readily available ingredients, and lots of fresh produce…from herbs to veg. It is well written with simple instructions. From the new home cook to a seasoned chef, this book is for everyone.

Whether it be eggs, meat, muffins, biscuits, or any other delicious breakfast food you crave, this cookbook has it all! Not being new to the Paleo way of eating, I was getting a bit bored with having the same breakfast foods over and over. I’m not one to skip breakfast, but it was to the point that I was tired of eating what I always made. This book has made me excited to try new breakfast foods and switch it up. The recipes are simple, delicious, and don’t take much time. I would definitely recommend this to both Paleo newcomers and veterans alike!

When I started reading this I had a reasonable idea of what paleo meant but wasn’t sure what would make a good breakfast. It’s easy to get bored of having the same breakfast every day. Anyway, I like to make quick and easy recipes and zip out the door so I was hoping a lot of these recipes would be simple and speedy, and I wasn’t disappointed!

The book offers a bunch of egg-based recipes as you’d expect, but then you also get meat and poultry based recipes, paleo waffles, cereals, muffins, smoothies, and much more. Whatever you like to eat for breakfast, this book shows you not only how to make it paleo but also how to make it yummy! I love the grain-free cereal ideas as well as the banana bread because I can make that the day before if I’m in a rush in the morning.

A lot of the recipes aren’t only for breakfast either. You could make the muffins or bars for snacks to take to work or eat on the run, or have the smoothie as an after-workout treat in the evening. The red onion quiche is also nice for dinner with some vegetables on the side. I really recommend this book whether you’re starting out on a paleo way of eating or just looking for new recipes to keep mealtimes interesting. I have only made a few of the recipes so far but I’ve been really impressed with the results and know I’ll be using this book a lot.

One of the most challenging things when we enter new lifestyles is finding all the options and alternatives out there to keep us going. I have found in Paleo a fantastic solution that meets all my tastes and food preferences without putting on weight, suffering from allergies, or even experiencing any kind of bloating–which I hate.

This is a super, go-to resource for ANYONE who wishes to have food and meal choices that are junk and preservative-free. Also, the Paleo breakfasts will not to cause you to get fat or feel tired. These are awesome ideas, too. I particularly love the section on having a “meaty start to the morning” because these are breakfast choices that are are healthy as they are filling. I already had tried the eggs wrapped in bacon. I loved it. I also made the crustless quiche and there is NO WAY I will ever use a starchy bread crust again to make quiche. The eggs cook so much easier on their own than with a shell underneath. Still, in the book there is much more to breakfast than that. The tomato smoothie is one I am going to definitely try. I am already eyeing the Scotch eggs, too.
On a separate note, when I got the book on my iPhone, I loaned it to my son, who is in the military, and told him to jot down the smoothie recipes because he cannot stand the taste of protein shakes. However, that “Rise and Shine Paleo Smoothie” sounds much more appetizing and less chalky (and way cheaper, may I add). I say this book is as appealing as it is interesting. All I have to do is pull it up on my Kindle app, and I am in business. Good job.
