Light Up My Life: 6 Highlighters To Keep That Summer Glow

I hate to say this but we are half way (maybe even more than half way) through summer. I know, don't hate me for saying it but it's true. One thing that us ladies love about this season is that fab summer glow we get. I personally don't like sitting on a beach so I "fake" my glow with some amazing highlighers I keep in my beauty arsenal. These are my "go to" when it comes to shiny glitzy glow. So let me (high)light up for your life, with some my favorites.


I only pulled 6 because I didn't want to overwhelm you guys with a bunch of different products. I also added a couple of drugstore brands! Who doesn't love a great drugstore beauty product? Check out them out! 

You can obviously see that I have hit pan on this beauty by Jane Cosmetics in the color " FIJI"($12). I have been obsessed with it from day one! The combination of "oil-free light diffusing shimmer" is perfect for any glow or light contour. It makes me sad every time I use it because I know,  I am one day closer to not having it anymore BUT I will deal with that when that day comes.
TEMPTU is known for their airbrushing kits and airbrush products. I do not own an airbrushing kit, which I obviously need to work on BUT I use "Champagne Shimmer" ($25) with a beauty blender or my finger (which ever comes first) and lightly apply it on my cheek bones. You don't even understand what a beauty it is!

Next up is another drugstore beauty by New York Color in "Fire Island Tan" ($5). This is considered a bronzer but when I am looking for a very light subtle glow, this is the product I grab. It has little shimmer in it but it's just right for a simple makeup day. 
The next two are from MAC "Whisper of Gilt" (top right) and "Fairly Precious" (bottom left) ($32). Now, if you are looking for the mother of all highlighters MAC is the way to GO. I'm not kidding. These babies do NOT play. I use "Whisper of Gilt" for a neutral gold glowy look and "Fairly Precious" for a more dramatic look. A little goes a long way with MAC highlighters. 
Last but not least- is this beauty from INGLOT Cosmetics in #86 ($23). This was a random buy for me but i'm happy I picked it up. You can mix all the colors or just swipe from any section and either way, it always looks beautiful and very build-able.
