As I had mentioned earlier, I had paused the outfit posts on the blog in favor of editorial posts and articles. However, if you follow me on instagram (Instagram handle: @savoirstyle), I still share an outfit every other day. In today's post, I have a weekly roundup of my Instagram posts.
Last Thursday, The weather was good and it was still warm out so I decided to pair up a Lace tee with blue wash skinny jeans, a paisley print scarf and strappy sandals. A scarf is a great addition to any outfit when the weather is anything but predictable. In September/October, I try to add as many as I can to my closet in different fabrics. Scarfs are also great to mix and match with different outfits and the most chic accessory to have. Scroll down to see details of this outfit.
The is more of a flashback Friday Picture. My Daughter was a little over 1 years old and we had decided to take her on her first road trip to Chicago. As you can see, I am wearing my most comfortable tee and jeans combo along with a pair of flats to run after her. This picture was taken at the Chicago Bean in Millennium Park. We have had a tradition of driving down to Chicago 2-3 times in a year and this is one place we never get bored of.
The park is close to the Chicago loop and has many events happening year round. Chicago is and always will be a city close to my heart. If you have been to Chicago, you know what I mean and if not, Plan a trip today. (Outfit details after the jump)
On Saturday, we drove down to a Pumpkin Patch nearby. This was the first time any of us had been to one and it was a great experience. I have spent most of my summer vacations at my Grandpa's farm and it was good to take a trip down memory lane. However, guess who had the most fun? Obviously, it was our 2 year old who went into a fit when it was time to leave. She has this immense love for animals and going by the looks of it, we will soon have a pet at home even though we wanted to wait till she was 5 years old. She came back home with the biggest grin on her face and well, what can I say, she is a country girl at heart.
Sundays are for lazing around and I couldn't think of a more perfect outfit than a cozy knit and jeggings to spend our Sunday afternoon. I was looking at one of H&M's catalogs for Fall 201, when I decided to put this outfit together. I have been wearing this particular knit a lot - sometimes with plain old jeggings and other times with a skirt and leggings. I got it last year from Marshalls and it was a steal. It is one of those things in my closet that is going to be there for quite a few years.
On Tuesday, I was looking for something different to pair up with this mauve top I have worn with jeans and pants all through summer. Finally, I went with a full skirt in black lace and belted the top and skirt together and added a pair of pumps with black ribbed tights.
It is blueberries season and our family, loves fruit so we have been stocking up on this one.
These are one of the easiest fruits to freeze and great for snacking or adding to your cereal first thing in the morning. Wash and dry and put them in the freezer in a plastic bag. You can have berries all winter long. If you are not a fan, here are a few good reasons why you should add blueberries to your diet.
