Life Lately {according to My iPhone}

By _jessismore @_jessismore
Life has been crazy lately.  So much has been going on "in real life" that I haven't had time to sit down and properly update the bloggity blog. In an effort to get you somewhat caught up, here's a little iPhone photo recap...
Life Lately {according to my iPhone}
{1}After 8 weeks of pain, and 6 weeks with a boot -- my toe is feeling like 100%.  The last 8 weeks have been tough, physically and mentally. Turns out, your big toe is kind of essential for a lot of things. I wasn't able to exercise as much as I could, and I used it as a pathetic excuse to let myself go.  Needless to say, I'm not in a good place with my overall health and it's taking a while to get back on track.  There's plenty of yard work to do at our house, though... which is helping!
{2 + 3}Netflix is a blessing and a curse.  Every night for the last few weeks we have been watching Arrested Development and/or House of Cards. Both are amazing to the max, and perfect opportunities for puppy cuddle time.
{4}On Memorial Day, we met up with Lo and her hubs for some horse racing at Canterbury Park.It was so much fun hanging out with them, and they were even big winners!  We now expect invites to any future gambling events... as we are clearly good luck charms of some sort.
{5}This past Friday, we went to the Twins game.  We had amazing seats in the Legend's Club -- and even though the Twins lost, going to games is one of our favorite things to do in the Spring/Summer.
{6}Kelly and I have been taking a DSLR photography class through Minneapolis Community Ed, and last week we had a field trip to the Stone Arch Bridge. It has been on my Minnesota bucket list to see the bridge, and I am so glad I finally got to go.  It's gorgeous... especially at night.  You might remember that we painted the bridge for one of our Minnesota Blogger events, and I am hoping to print one of my photography class photos and hang in up next to my painting!
{7}The side of our house -- behind one of our plants -- is now home to a mama duck and what I counted to be 7 eggs.  I have no idea if we should interfere or help in any way.
We don't really live by water, and I'm concerned what the babies will do when they hatch.
Jeremiah says we need to let nature do its thing.  And he's probably right.  I am more than a little excited about the prospect of little ducklings marching around our yard, though.  Squee!
{8} On Saturday, I was invited to a VIP Open House at Valleyfair (a local theme park) and was able to bring along a few people.  Kelly and Lauren joined me, and we had so much fun eating #noms good food and riding the roller coasters like kids... kids that quickly realized that teenagers don't think twenty-somethings are cool.  And that kids these days have terrible manners, and wear far too much neon.
It has been a very busy, but fun couple of weeks.
I am excited to get back into the swing of things. Thanks for sticking with me, friends!
