Life Lately

By Winyeemichelle
It occurred to me this morning that I hadn’t updated my blog in a little while and it’d been quite some time since I’d sat down and had a little chat about what’s been going down, sharing mundane, inconsequential moments of my life and just having a chat. And so with work on pause for a moment (orders have been sent, fresh flowers purchased, client work across to be signed off), I decided to do just that.
I’ll paint the scene: I’ve just taken a post-barre class shower (the best sort), popped my feet and legs up to stretch out the muscle, Milo is having a lounge in the sun in our back garden, I’ve a new episode of Tsuki ga Kirei on and a fresh cup of coffee precariously balanced beside me. This, is my bliss.

Milo pup-date!

Little Milo had his booster injections on Monday and it was traumatic for us all. After a little struggle and not one, not two but three nurses to pin my 5kg guy down, he was done and ready for an afternoon of snuggles on the sofa. Tongue and tail wagging, he befriended almost everybody at the veterinary surgery and managed to win a few treats too! This guy…

Date week

This week has been a real treat and a bit of an anomaly because Harvey and I have had almost the entire week together! We of course spent it eating all the food, watching Attack on Titan and Boku no Hero Academia entangled in a blanket and soaking up some of the May air. It’s been pretty damn fun although a real struggle to get back to some semblance of a working routine.

A recipe

Well, a very loose recipe. More of a ‘this-is-what-I-eat-for-lunch’ segment of a post. I wax lyrical about this lunch in the group chat and it’s pretty much all I talk about from between the hours of 11am and 2pm. (Before, during and after the eating routine!)
  1. Grill 3 slices of halloumi with chilli oil.
  2. Slice red peppers and an avocado.
  3. Lightly toast a wholemeal tortilla.
  4. Add chipotle mayonnaise or Perinaise (the dream) to your tortilla.
  5. Assemble.

So. Damn. Good.

Honey + Chai

My online shop has really been going from strength to strength lately. I felt like I’d hit a wall with it a month or two ago but things are picking back up and we’ve even sold out of a few lines, which I hadn’t expected at all! I’ve been working on the second drop of my 2017 collection and it’s looking pretty great so far. I’d be absolutely over the moon if you’d add the shop to your favourites, followed us on Twitter and Instagram and gave the Facebook page a like or share! I finally feel like the shop is headed towards its’ break and I’m so proud of it!

Things to look forward to

I always feel a little frantic and anxious when I have a lot of plans in the diary and so currently, I’m almost always a ball of nerves waiting to unravel at the seams. (So fun.) Tomorrow is my friend Amelia’s wedding and I can’t wait to see her in her dress! We’re going along to the evening reception tomorrow and tbh I’m just excited to wear a dress for once! Next week I’ll be headed to the French Riviera to visit Elodie with my girl gang and I’m so damn excited. Give me all of the food, ice cream and beaches!
How have you been this week, pretty reader?
