LG hosted the 2nd edition of its annual Tech Show yesterday in Greater Noida. LG’s CEO and President Soon Kwon along with other LG India senior officials took to the stage and revealed LG’s plans for world’s fastest growing smartphone market – “India”. Apart from the divulging LG’s future endeavors for grabbing a strong grip in Indian electronics market, LG has also showcased some of its revolutionary products that will go on retail in the upcoming months.

Here are the best takeaways from the LG Tech Show –

LG’s LifeBand Touch has a built in 3 directional axis accelerometer, which, apart from probing the regular biometrics like burnt calories and steps taken, also provides features like answering incoming calls on the phone. The band is supported by a colorless OLED smart touch panel, Which provides the user with daily workout goals and is fully compatible with Android & iOS both . Unlike most of its competitors, the Life Band is surprisingly devoid of a built in heart rate monitor which might brick its sales. The price and availability is still kept under dark. The Touch Band, upon launch, will go head to head with the anticipated Samsung Gear Fit and the current market rulers NikeFuel and FitBit Flex.

Smartphones: LG G2 4G LTE And G Pro 2

LG G2 4G LTE

The most attractive product which LG brought into the light at the Tech Show 2014 was the 4G LTE version of its flagship smartphone LG G2 called the LG G2 4G LTE. The phone doesn’t differ much from its ancestor models when it comes to looks and features and the only difference is that it is packed up with 4G LTE capability. But since 4G is still not available in all the parts of India except some major cities therefore the 4G LTE edition is less likely to gear up the G2’s sale all on its own. The phone will be made available in the market as 16GB and 32GB variants and will lighten your pockets by Rs 46,000 and Rs 49,000 respectively.
