South Korean Smartphone brand LG have launched its flagship in India the LG G6. The smartphone was first launched globally a couple of months back in MWC 2017 in Barcelona. LG G6 succeeds last year’s LG G5 that came with a modular design.
However, LG G5 has ditched the modular design which was not very well received. LG G6 is an IP 68 certified dust and water resistant device and it comes with Ice Platinum, Atro Black, and Mystic White color options.
The LG G6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The highlight feature in the smartphone is its 5.7-inch QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) FullVision display with an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio instead of the regular 16:9 that we are used to seeing. The phone was launched with the new UX 6.0 that as per LG is optimized for the 18:9 aspect ratio. The unique aspect ratio and thin bezels makes single handed operation pretty easy.

The phone has minimal bezels on top and bottom, the LG G6 comes with a Glass 3 at the front, and a Gorilla Glass 5 at the back giving the device a premium look and feel. A 3300mAh non-removable battery powers the smartphone.
The Lg G6 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and has a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 32GB and 64GB storage options. On the optics front, The G6 comes with with a dual-camera setup at the back with two 13-megapixel sensors – one for wide-angle shots, and the other for regular shots with 71-degree lens and OIS 2.0. At the front, the G6 features a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras come with a 125 degree wide angle shot.
