London Fashion Week started on a spinning wheel and only this weekend I had the time to catch up and oh boy, if it is true that “London is an iconic city for fashion on account of its genius art schools & the bonkers individuals who call themselves Londoners.” as the official London Fashion Week Twitter account confesses. Expecting cool classicism, sleek lines, architectural, ablaze creativity is not an understatement.

So, on a rainy Miami Beach Sunday with an home-made pumpkin spice latte as a confidant and the Hallmark channel running in the other room, I got wicked by Emilia Wickstead and her posh collection inspired by Marella Agnelli. Once again I am never impressed by the designer that causes the usual giddy hysteria in the blogosphere or the most Instagrammed catwalk. But that’s who I am.

Now: why? Because ‘simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication’. The collection is so perfect that it made the catwalk seem like one of those black and white presentations of Dior before even runways and fashion weeks were invented.
