LeEco Set to Disrupt Indian Television Market by Launching 4K Supertv on 4th August

LeEco the Chinese smartphone and media company is all set to launch its Supertv with large displays to the market here. Going by their aggressive pricing strategy, these 4K smart TV’s from LeEco will definitely be worth the money. LeEco has been really making a lot of efforts to increase its reach to Indian consumers. While the company entered Indian market around 6 months back, they’ve already sold 6Lakh+ smartphones, which is really a commendable feat.

LeEco is likely to introduce 4 X50 and 4 X50 Pro Supertv at an event LeEco will host in India on August 4. These smart TV’s were introduced in the month of April. The 4 X50 PRO is the first TV to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and comes with 3GB of RAM.  While the 4 X50 is a 50-inch 4K TV and is powered by MStar 6A938 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The Supertv sets are also likely to come with Ecological UI system, which lets users stream up to 9 channels at the same time. The viewer can watch 9 different sports events at the same time with 9 different camera angles. The LeEco Supertv supports HDR videos, come with Harman Kardon speakers and run on eUI on top of Android M.

Recently LeEco bought Vizio, a US-based TV manufacturer known for its aggressively priced but good quality TVs. However,if sources are to be believed then LeEco doesn’t plan to bring Vizio TVs to India anytime soon.

LeEco TV Range

The China price of the LeEco X50 was CNY 2499 for the 16GB variant and CNY 2699 for the 32GB version. The X50 Pro price starts at CNY 2,999 and is likely to give serious competition to not just domestic players such as  Micromax, Intex, Videocon, Vu etc but major brands like Samsung, Sony, LG etc with their pricing and content ecosystem.
