Created by Microsoft Store, Xbox Academy is aupcoming digital online workshop that aims to teach the fundamentals of game design and development.
Microsoft has announced the dates for the workshop; however, there are limited places. Microsoft plans to host four ninety-minute sessions between September 12 and 13. Also for Register for the workshop, all participants must be over 16 years old.
Xbox will present the workshop in partnership with Playground Games, the developers of the popular "Forza" racing series, as well as Games London and East London Arts and Music (ELAM).
Interestingly, the Xbox Academy Workshop will give attendees a chance to learn more about game development from industry professionals.
" I am delighted that the Playground is part of the Xbox Academy and that our team members, Maria Lee and Ryan Greene, can share their experience and knowledge, " said Gavin Raeburn, studio director of Playground Games.
Raeburn added that many ELAM students began game development after drawing inspiration from the game makers at Playground Games.

Once participants have successfully secured a place at the workshop, they will need to install Unity 2020. After that, participants should download the 3D Game Kit resource file and test it before the online session. This will help them keep pace with the presenter.
Everything a participant learns in the Xbox Academy Workshop will also apply to game development platforms other than Unity 2020. For example, participants can use the same knowledge to create something on Unreal Engine 4, which is completely free.
Nowadays, there are several online resources to learn more about game development, such as free game engines and video tutorials on YouTube. Now the Xbox Academy program will also act as a similar learning platform / tool for thousands of new game developers.
