This probably belongs squarely in the ‘Rumor’ category – which tH don’t have – the image you see comes from Twitter user superDaE, who allegedly owns a “Durango” dev kit.
Let’s take a look at this purported Kinect 2 image. It shows both increased detail and improved depth perception. See those fingers? See the outlines of clothing? If the image is genuine, those bits would represent measurable advances in Kinect technology.
Given that Microsoft has been reticent to even acknowledge it’s working on a next-gen console, the odds of a confirmation here see slim. Nonetheless, should we get one, there will be a new post about it.
