Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Review

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Hey everyone!
So keeping things going with the beauty prouduct reviews, today i am doing a Laura Mercier 'Secret Brightening' review which features the 'secret brightening powder' and the 'secret brightener' in a pen form.
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Review
First off, let's talk about the secret brightener which is the pen type thing on the right - it actually looks like touche eclat, but in fact, it's nothing like it. This is not a concealer, be under no illusions, this will not give any coverage at all as it is not designed to. This is more like a liquid highlighter and while you all know i am not the biggest fan of liquid highlighters, i thought i'd give this a go. You twist this up from the bottom, and the product comes out of the brush at the top. This took a few turns to get it out as all products with a twisting bottom do. The one thing i did notice about the product, was that i found it a little bit 'stiff'. I found it hard to blend and the product is quite thick. For me personally, i would have preferred it to be a little less stubborn, but maybe this will soften as i use it more.
Onto the Secret brightening powder. This powder is like a transparent highlighter, which i absolutely ADORE!! You all know i LOVES powder highlighters but i've never used one that's transparent before. This is best used in any areas you want to highlight - the bridge of your nose, temples, cheek bones and even your collarbone.
TIP: apply a little bit of this to the 'cupids bow' of your lips and it really helps to brighten the area.
Do you have any of the secret brightening products from Laura Mercier?
