I knew as soon as I read the blurb and saw the front cover that I was going to love Lakesedge and I did. I love fantasy fiction, the darker the better. I loved the lush world-building in this book, how vividly the estate and the surrounding areas are brought to life. I was hooked from the first few lines and got submerged every time I picked up the book. I loved all of the characters, fully developed and vivid, and wonderfully flawed. The book is very dark at moments especially when Violeta starts to use her powers and learns the trust about the estate and curse. I hope there will be a follow-up as I loved this.
