L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow in Cupa Joe

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
This is one of the products my mom surprised me with a few days ago and I have worn it nearly everyday since.  Overall, I like it but there are a few things about that are not so great and might put a few people off.

Shades

This palette consists of matte shades of light to medium brown as well as a cream shade.  Unfortunately, a lot of the browns look the same.

Pigment, Formula and Staying Power

The pigment is actually quite "blah" and lackluster without a primer.  However, with primer, this palette can be used to create a nice, natural look.  The formula is pretty good. It is smooth, but it can be a little powdery.  On the downside, it requires a good bit of build up in order to even see the eyeshadow.  Despite the lackluster pigment, these shadows actually stay put.  In fact, they last all day on me with no fading or creasing whatsoever.  That more than made up for the "blah" pigment.
Packaging and Price
I find the gold packaging to have a cheap feel, but it can still be a bit of a pain to open sometimes.  The back includes ideas on how to apply the eyeshadow.  I got this at Wal-Mart for $7.97 and I have seen them at Ulta and various drugstores.

Overall Impression
The staying power is the saving grace for this eyeshadow.  The pigment, while much improved with primer, doesn't mask the fact that all of the browns look very much alike.  Luckily, the shadow is smooth (even if powdery) and I did not find it to be chalky.  I have found that I do like this for an easy, natural eye and I also use one of the browns for my eye brows.  You can see an FOTD that used this palette here.
