Kung Hei Fat Choi!

By Mommynimfa @wazzuridea
Yay it's Year of the Water Snake already. We Filipinos welcome new year on January 1st but our Chinoy friends just celebrated it lately. And we also take part into that celebration. Why not, as Filipinos and Chinese have established a good relationship even before the Spaniards colonized Philippines. Barter, anyone? Anyway, I'm also looking forward to Chinese New Year because I sooo love tikoy!
Kung Hei Fat Choi!My husband Jhe bought this one last week and I just stock it on the ref until I saw the expiration date so I cooked it before it got wasted. Trivia: Tikoy or Chinese New Year's cake is called Nian gao in Chinese, which means "higher year". The name tikoy was derived from its alternate name tikay. They say it's better when you receive it instead of buying it.
