In my previous Krispy Kreme post, I mentioned my love for their Original Glazed Doughnuts; however, I failed to say why exactly. So here goes.
Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed Doughnuts captured my heart because it's unlike any other I've tasted. This one is airy, light and golden. It also has a lovely texture, perfect in size; not to mention, it has a thin glaze that melts in your mouth.Getting hungry? 🙂 Yeah, me too! Honestly, buying a box won't be a problem. You can have it delivered or visit any Krispy Kreme branch. My go-to branch is the one in Tomas Morato.
The Bakery/Cafe
There is a lot to love about this Krispy Kreme branch. First on my list is the availability of several doughnuts and cake doughnut flavours. They always carry the Mango Kreme Cake and other cake doughnuts which are not always available at certain branches inside the mall.
Second is the ambience. Take note, their space is small but they do have seats available. It's also quiet, comfortable, very well put together and ventilated. Moreover, people who stay here really enjoy a cup of coffee and/or doughnut. This means they don't hang out that long giving other customers a chance to enjoy their Krispy Kreme treats as well.
Last is their great service. I love how kuya guard is very conscious and attentive. Parking can sometimes be difficult but he makes sure to help out. Also, he never fails to greet you and open the door for you. The staff is very efficient and easy to talk to.
All these three make our trip to this branch worth it!
The Doughnuts
As mentioned, they carry several flavours of doughnuts and cakes here. But they now also offer Original Glazed Doughnut Bites and popcorn. Yes, you read it right!
There is a bite-sized version of their popular Original Glazed Doughnut. The texture is slightly different. It's still airy and light but not at the same level as the doughnut ones. Maybe this helps keep the shape together? I don't know but the Bites still have a nice and delicious texture.
The Krispy Kreme Bites comes in sets of 7 pieces (PHP 75), 24 pieces (PHP 235), and 45 pieces (PHP 375).
Now for the popcorn. This is a Krispy Kreme and Chef Tony collaboration. They offer two tubs of happiness: Original Glazed Popcorn and the Chocolate Glazed Popcorn. Each tub costs PHP 95. I love chocolate but Original Glazed is my ultimate fave when it comes to Krispy Kreme so we got one.
Honestly, I love it. In fact, my Abuelita loves it too and almost ate the whole tub. This means that the texture is senior citizen approved! 🙂 Next time you plan to binge-watch on Netflix, make sure you grab one or two tubs of the Krispy Kreme Popcorn.
