Gospel singer Koryn Hawthorne and actress Lynn Whitfield took home trophies during the 2019 NAACP Image Awards Friday night.

Koryn Hawthorne is also opening for Kirk Franklin’s ‘Long Live Love’ tour that kicks off this summer.

Other notable wins were: Black Panther won the Outstanding Motion Picture award, Chadwick Boseman was awarded the Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture honor and Letitia Wright picked up the Breakthrough Performance award for the Disney/Marvel film.
