KNOWvember: Adhesive Capsulitis

Adhesive Capsulitis (frozen shoulder) is thought to be a result of a previous injury or trauma that gradually worsens over the following 1-3 years.
Most common in middle-aged women, frozen shoulder usually occurs without any identifiable cause. The condition may develop gradually, which can keep you from realizing the seriousness of the problem. Other times, the symptoms can be quite sudden and severe with nearly complete loss of shoulder motion. The condition can occur in one or both shoulders and may resist all forms of treatment.
