Kitchen Tools Review

By Vsudarsan

Today I bring you a few coolest kitchen tools to speed up your cooking! There are so many gadgets out there that claim to make cooking easier. And, the task is on us to be able pick and choose what we really need. Ideally, kitchen drawers should be filled with things that are well appreciated by the cook. And, chefs in small kitchens have to be rather selective about the tools and utensils they keep. I've two products here, that will not disappoint you. I have to admit my short videos could be taken better! I'm learning!

First, the Salt & Pepper Grinder Set - The set I received is sleek, modern and very easy to use. All I had to do was open the top container, and fill it up with salt, pepper or spices like cumin or coriander. The grinder plate is on the bottom, and it can be screwed tightly for a fine powder and loosely for a granular powder . I rarely come across a pepper mill that can be easily adjusted. The clear, acrylic container is visually beautiful to look at it holds up to 4 ounces. It comes with a nice steel cover that covers the grinder portion. Overall, I give this salt & pepper grinder set a five star! Here's a picture of how beautiful this set looks followed by a short clip!

My next review is on a rather small yet very powerful food chopper made by Brieftons. I was initially skeptical about this chopper because it did not use any sort of power source. To my surprise, with a few pulls onions came out of chopped just the way I wanted. Here's how it works - First you have to put the blade in the middle. Then comes what needs to be chopped in the cup. Place the lid and turn to close it tightly. Finally, pull the green handle a few times to get the right consistency you want. The pull cord mechanism spins the blades, and chops what you put in the cup. No batteries, no electric cords, all you do is pull the green cord - I'm totally loving this and recommend it to you. Here's a brief video of this chopper in action. As you can see from my video -

  • 1 - 5 pulls for coarse, chunky cuts
  • 6 - 10 pulls for medium to fine cuts
  • 11 - 20 pulls for fine to very fine cuts
  • 20 or more pulls for very fine of puree consistency.
