I just finished reviewing a few items that you would typically use when you cook. A good set of mixing bowls, bamboo cutting boards, and silicone utensils can totally make cooking more enjoyable. I call these the kitchen sets that can make a cook very happy! I put these products to test, and here's my feedback.
Whether it is for mixing ingredients, or for storing leftovers nothing is better than a set of mixing bowls. For a baker, this is the most important tool in the kitchen. Without a good bowl, I'm not sure how one would mix the ingredients. I really like the Fulmar's mixing bowl set because it is made of heavy-duty stainless steel and comes in three sizes - 1.4 quart, 3 quart, 4 quart. The bowls have a non-skid silicon bottom to prevent it from slipping and also come with a nice silicon handle that lets you hold onto it comfortably. These also have a spout to help with pouring. Since these are made of stainless steel, it makes them versatile, and durable. Overall, I have nothing to complain on these shiny mixing bowls.
Kitchen is incomplete without a cutting board. The fact that bamboo is renewable and eco-friendly makes it a great choice. I particularly like the boards made by 4EarthBamboo because they are glue free without any joints. They are also natural and free from any kind of bleaching. The surface is very smooth yet the board itself is very hard. It looks very attractive and perfect to display on the counter-top. I would serve sliced cheese and crackers on this stunning board. I believe these boards do require to be oiled periodically. They feel sturdy and non-porous and I wouldn't put them in a dishwasher.
Silicone utensils are gaining a lot of popularity these days. They have a ton of features - non-stick, stain resistant, odor free, can handle high heat, will cool down fast, and are dishwasher safe. That's quite a bit of nice to have features! The set I received from Pro31Living has six different utensils that are very useful to cook. Handle is made of high-grade stainless steel and the silicone is FDA/LFGB approved. I like the way the tip of each utensil is soft so that it will not scratch the pots and pans. It comes in a nice stand which is well made and sturdy enough to hold all the utensils. It is a great space-saving set. Overall, I'm very pleased with this utensil set.
It's a joy to cook when the right things are available in the kitchen! I'm quite pleased with these products.
