Amazon yesterday released the company´s latest attempt at the high end tablet market by releasing the Kindle Fire HDX. This high end tablet boasts a mid-range price and is available in 7 or 8.9-inch form factors. Much like Google´s Nexus 7 2, the Kindle Fired HDX is a powerful slate with a stunning screen that boasts 323ppi (1,920 x 1,200, 7-inch) and 339ppi (2,560 x 1,600, 8.9-inch). Inside this slate is a powerhouse processor in the shape of a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 paired with 2GB of RAM. US$379
