The Maine Attorney General's Office was called to Kennebunk after the shooting, which occurred about 9 p.m. Sunday.Let's flesh that out a little bit, shall we. Do you think cops in Maine are learning something from their trigger-happy colleagues in the rest of the country? Instead of "we thought she had a gun but it turned out to be a cell phone," or "she had a knife and started to lunge," or any one of the common variations thereof, these guys say simply she acted "with deadly force."
Police say Officers Joshua Morneau and Sgt. Juliet Gilmansay were responding to a complaint of a disturbance at 16 Nottingham Court where 39-year-old Katherine Paulson confronted them "with deadly force."
She was then shot and killed by Officer Joshua Morneau.
I'm sure the AG will want to know exactly what that means. What do you think?
