Keeping Things in Perspective

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2

I had a long night last night. My daughter, who has been sick with a virus the past three days, kept waking me up. Fun times...
Who knew that a dropped cup of Jello this morning would help me keep things in perspective?
I was exhausted when both kids were up at the crack of dawn. When we went down to the kitchen for breakfast, I the zombie opened up the fridge and SMACK! Down on the floor flies an opened container of Jello that I had tried to give my daughter last night.
I didn't even want to look. If I had to clean up a red staining Jello mess, I would have lost it.
But there was nothing. The cup sat there on the tiled floor, all contents still within.
I was amazed. It actually made me feel so much better. Sure my night was terrible and the previous days were hell, but hey: the Jello didn't spill.
To think that I almost cried over spilled Jello.
Today's mantra: At least the Jello didn't spill.
