KAT VON D Shade + Light Crème Contour Palette Review

By Bria

When sitting down to write this review I decided that it might be a good idea to actually look the product up and see what it's claims were, there might have been an info card in the box sent to me by Kat Von D but truthfully I only keep the hand written notes and the makeup...no deep reason why I just rarely read the info cards. So all while I've been testing this palette out I didn't know specifically what they meant to be the best parts of this palette.

From the product page on Sephora

Experience the first ever, 24-hour, high-pigment crème contour palette. Forget everything you once knew about crème contouring-these velvety, non-greasy, and insanely blendable contour and highlight shades melt effortlessly into skin for bulletproof wear that is perfect for dry and oily skin types.

The Shade + Light Crème Contour Palette is loaded with a unique selection of shades and undertones that capture the true contour and highlight tones in every complexion. The three contour shades create realistic shadows to recede facial features, while the three highlight shades impart a soft luminosity to amplify dimension, so you can effortlessly sculpt, chisel, shape, and slenderize your features for enhanced definition.

24-hour wear - Certainly haven't worn it to the 24hr mark but I will say that the times that I have worn it I have not experienced any color fading.

High Pigment - I feel like the shade colors are more pigmented than the highlight shades but the highlight shades are still fairly pigmented.

Non-Greasy - 100% agree with this statement and am genuinely shocked they cracked the code on how to formulate a non-greasy crème colors that isn't solid as a rock and dry and crumbly.

Insanely Blendable - This as well is very accurate when I was just writing notes on what I wanted to say about this palette the blendablity was the first note I made.

Bulletproof wear - Thankfully I've had no situation to test this out but sounds like a bit of an exaggeration to me... if you have reason to be in need of not being able to be penetrated by a bullet look elsewhere.
