Coming soon to Australia, K-Swiss introduced the first all leather tennis shoe to players in 1966, changing the game forever. Adhering to the same spirit of innovation, the Si-18 International was introduced over 20 years later in 1989. It was a breakthrough in tennis footwear technology. K-Swiss infused the shoe with their exclusive “Si-18” cushioning material, a technical D•R•Cinch lacing system, and heel stability counter to increase performance for professional players on the court. The re-release of this legendary tennis shoe is the first in a series of special color way releases and collaborations rolling out through 2015. This model has been built with the exact craftsmanship of the debut model in 1989. The flags on the heel and tongue represent each of the four host countries of the Grand Slam tournaments and the colours are original to this first release.
