James Bond Exhibition, Palace of Westminster and Shrewsbury Update

By Kvlog101 @KVlog101
I have not blogged a whole lot in the past couple of months but I have posted a new review just a few days ago and posted several pictures to Instagram from my recent travels.
London: October 2015
I spent a day in London a few weeks ago and had a meet up with a few mates and visited the Bond In Motion exhibition at the Film Museum near Covent Garden. I am going to post a separate article in the next week or so about the exhibition as it was an amazing place to visit.
In the afternoon I was privileged to join a tour round the Palace of Westminster and see around the houses of parliament and the house of lords, there was strict policy of no photography in the palace so I was not able to take any pictures to share on the blog... which is a shame because the architecture of the full building is mind blowing and so full of rich and interesting history. We met a member of the house of lords at the start of the tour who took us down into The Chapel of St Mary Undercroft which is normally out of bounds for the general public and we were able to experience the rich and vibrant gold coloured walls with delicately painted patterns that cover all the ceilings and walls, It was a real honor to see such a special place that not many people will be able to see in person.
Shrewsbury: November 2015
I had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in Shrewsbury in Shropshire a couple of days ago and though the weather was very cold and wet I had a great time exploring the streets steeped in historical buildings and exploring the city center with its mixture of old and new architecture.
The town has some great place to dine out and some amazing pubs serving local artisan ales, the pubs were full of character and history of the area. The town has many twisting and winding roads and amazing alleyways that lead to hidden away timber framed buildings and small independent establishments serving amazing local food and drink.
Due to the rain and bad weather I did not get many pictures during the day and went to the cinema to watch a film but was treated to the wonders of Shrewsbury as darkness fell and the buildings lit up with warm and inviting glowing windows and it was then I managed to capture some great pictures of the old historical streets lit up under the ever falling darkness. I was then picked up and transported to Rowton Castle for the evening party for my cousins wedding. I also managed to grab a few pictures of Rowton Castle lit up against the dark nights sky.
More blog posts covering my London trip, James Bond Exhibition and Shrewsbury very soon...
Thanks for reading and supporting my blog.
