You won’t believe what Intel has in store for us this time. It will blow your mind. The world’s largest computer chip maker’s latest innovative idea is to make LED lighted jackets for bikers.

“Our clothing can keep us safe,” says Intel’s director of interaction and experience research. Now, this is serious talk folks. So, listen up. According to VentureBeat, this jacket has LED lights embedded on the back to let other drivers know that you’re riding a bicycle in the middle of the night on a super-dark road. It even includes a system to signal when you turn left or right. Could anyone see those tiny lights in the dark? Well, that’s an entirely different question.

Apparently, Intel wants to turn clothing into the future of wearable tech. This could be the beginning of it. Obviously, it’s not really the best start. Actually, I remember having a T-Shirt like this when I was a kid. It had some scary flashing LED lights for the eyes of a skull. Yeah, good times.
