Inkitt, the dynamic community for writers and readers, have launched Fated Paradox, a contest for mystery and thriller authors. The theme is all about “tales of gripping suspense.” Think you can keep readers on the edge of their seats with an intriguing mystery or adrenaline-laden tales of espionage and suspense?  Dust of one of your stories or write a new one, and submit your best.

Inkitt is accepting “original fiction stories of any length.  Entries must be posted on the Inkitt contest page to be considered eligible.”  The free contest runs from now through July 4th.  The top 10% of entries, based on readers’ votes, will become the finalists, from which Inkitt staff will award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  “Entries must be posted on the Inkitt contest page to be considered eligible.”

Prizes are:  For 1st Place: $50 cash, 5 printed copies of the winning story with custom Typography (created by Inkitt’s designer).  2nd Place: $40 cash; and 3rd Place: $20 cash.

I suggest posting your story as soon as possible. The earlier you post, the greater your chances of garnering more readers’ votes as your story will be accessible to read for a longer period. Posting on the last couple days doesn’t really give the readers enough opportunity to see and vote for your story.

Inkitt is “a free writing platform that helps authors reach their full potential.  Users collaborate with fellow writers and readers to give each other feedback and improve their work.  Inkitt’s vision is to help writers get the exposure they deserve and the publishing deals they covet, without having to jump through the fiery hoops of traditional publishing or wade in the shark-infested waters of self-publishing.”

Their June contest, Fated Paradox, was launched on June 4th.  Previously, they held contests for fantasy and sci-fi genre writers.

Whether you enter the contest or not, Inkitt is a place where writers (and readers) can discover other writers of genre fiction. There are sections for horror, fantasy, sci-fi, thriller and mystery as well as fandoms for those who can’t get enough of their favorite film, TV, and book characters.

Joining the site, allows you to interact with other authors, give feedback and reviews, and more.  Visit the site at: www.inkitt.com.  To view the contest, for more information and to see entries, visit: www.inkitt.com/fatedparadox.  Share your participation on social media with @Inkitt or #FatedParadox.
