Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G Series Coming to India with Wireless Charging Support and 108-megapixel Camera

The day before yesterday i.e. 18th March, the Infinix Note 40 series entered the global market. Again today it has been confirmed by the company itself, that their latest smartphone lineup is going to be released in India very soon. The brand made the announcement by releasing a teaser image. No confirmed launch date was seen in the teaser. However, the teaser mentions the fast charging technology that the series devices will support.

Incidentally, the upcoming high-end model Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G has been spotted listed on the ‘Bureau of Indian Standards’ (BIS) certification site in Halfil with the model number X6851B, indicating an imminent launch of the device in the country.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G smartphone series will be launched in India soon

Infinix recently shared a teaser image for their upcoming smartphone series Note 40 Pro 5G. The same teaser poster was also released today by e-commerce site Flipkart in their Upcoming Launch section.

In this teaser image, the Note 40 Pro 5G and Note 40 Pro+ 5G smartphones to be launched in the country are claimed to support two “breakthrough charging technologies”. In this case, it should be noted that the global variant of both the handsets supports Magsafe wireless charging technology. Maybe this series will offer the same charging feature in India as well.

Flipkart has shared teaser images of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G smartphone series on its portal, but has not yet made a dedicated microsite live. As a result, it is not certain what features the Indian variants of the phones will offer. But since the handsets are already available in two global markets, we know their configuration. Infinix Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro+ Specifications (Global Variant)

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G series features a 6.78-inch Full HD Plus 3D Curved Flexible AMOLED touch-screen. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass and supports 120 Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, 2160 Hz PWM dimming, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. It features MediaTek Dimension 7020 processor and IMG BXM-8-256 GPU to deliver good performance. The standard model of the series i.e. Infinix Note 40 Pro comes with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, which additionally supports up to 16 GB virtual RAM feature.

The higher-end Note 40 Pro+ model will get 12 GB of LPDDRX RAM, which offers up to 24 GB of virtual RAM. As for storage, both the phones will get 256 GB of UFS 2.2 memory, which is expandable up to 1 terabyte via microSD card. The series runs on Android 14 based XOS custom skin.

This latest lineup from the Infinix brand for photography and videography – features a triple rear camera unit comprising of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with OIS, and a 2-megapixel depth shooter with f/2.4 aperture. Meanwhile, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling.

In terms of power backup, the Infinix Note 40 Pro phone has a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which supports 45W All-Round Fast Charge 2.0 and 20W Wireless MagCharge technology. Meanwhile, the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ handset is powered by a 4,500mAh capacity battery, which offers 100W All-Round Fast Charge 2.0 and 20W Wireless MagCharge technology. Both models have dual speaker systems supported by JBL. Both the IP53 rated phones measure 164.28×74.5×8.09 mm and weigh 190/196 grams.
