Dungarees seem to be every wear at the moment, dividing opinions on whether you love them or hate them, but like it or not they seem to be hear to stay. Personally, I love the nostalgic feel to them, reminding me of childhood days whilst being perfectly in style. These ones from Boohoo are relatively affordable and I love the acid wash look to them. Paired with a cute Breton stripe top underneath and a delicate feather necklace I feel like the whole look is tied together.
One of the main inspirations for dungaree's seem to have come from Alexa Chung who has been seen sporting the look for years, so how could I make this post without using the much coveted bag based on her, the Mulberry Alexa. A perfect mixture of slouchy and chic, I love everything about this bag and the tan color perfectly works with the sandals. I also love the mixture of the gold hardware and the necklace together.
As previously mentioned, I feel like the whole dungaree style is quite evocative of childhood, so for makeup I think it should be kept pretty, peachy and natural. The Nivea Lipbutter in Raspberry, not only smells amazing but adds a pretty rose tint to the lips whilst moisturising as well. For the rest of the face, this Two Faced Palette contains bronze, blush and highlighters that could also be doubled as eyeshadow, can be used to created a dewy, flushed look that would work really well.
A nice mascara for fluttery lashes and tumbling tousled hair and voilà, the perfect look (well in my opinion anyway...)
