This is my first time reading the author. I was impressed with Impostor and plan to read other books featuring Gregory, a profiler. I read a lot of thrillers but can't recall reading any featuring a criminal profiler. There likely has been a few but nothing springs to mind. This book offered something a bit different than the thrillers I usually read. I loved the setting, in Ireland, a place I've never visited but would love to, and somewhere I've read quite a lot about it. Impostor is set in a small community, the perfect place for a murder to be lurking and for fear to spread. Gregory wants to help, to create a profile to help the Garda identity possible suspects, but when the clues suggest the killer is someone who lives in the community, hackles rise as locals don't want to believe one of their own could do such things. I had no idea who the killer was and the author is good at keeping you guessing until the end.
