Getting the right lighting can be one of the most difficult tasks when trying to take the best picture. Either the light leaves a shadow, the light isn't bright enough, or the light itself makes the image look terrible. This has been one of the most consistent problems we've faced when both on the move with our phones, and when we're at photoshoots without high-end-cameras.

Sad enough, the flash on my iPhone just doesn't cut it, and neither does the flash on my Cannon just doesn't make images look good. So what's the solution? Give up? Carry around lighting with you everywhere you go? Of course not!

Just like any other problem you have on the web, you take it to the all mighty internet. The chosen one if you will. After 10 minutes of searching (I found my solution pretty quick) I came across a company called Concepter. First initial thought? With a bad ass name like Concepter how could they let me down?!

The Almighty iblazr 2

Eventually I was able to review the iblazr 2. Or as I like to call it, my pocket light for the perfect picture (yes in case you haven't noticed already, I'm slightly obsessed with this product).

iblazr 2 is the second generation in the iblazr flash series (obviously). This series has a more advanced light source for smartphones and tablets available in the consumer market. What I really like about this is that the flash is specifically designed for smartphones, but is also handy when taking photos with tablets or DSLR cameras.

This miniutre light is charged by a flexible charger cable, AND the flexible charger also functions as a lamp stand allowing iblazr 2 to provide illumination in a variety of situations even when you're not taking photographs.

Works With Your Device's Native Camera Apps

To make this product even better, the iblazr 2 is the only flash that works with native camera apps on your iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones. All you have to do is Pair it via Bluetooth, open the native camera app and make a double tap on iblazr 2 rear side to activate the flash. When everything is connected right, you will then be able to take a picture automatically.

Final Thoughts

After having the iblazr 2 for a couple months, I can easily say that this is a product that stays with me at all times. It is a new addition that I now keep in my camera bag since it fits both on my phone and camera.

The lighting makes a massive difference when I'm taking pictures, and the quality is greatly noticed. What I love about it is how easy as simple it is to use!
