I was always told to never get water in my ears. At a minimum it would block up my ear and make me feel like I was underwater, other times it would cause some pain. And I could never stop fiddling with my ears to try to pop them and get some relief. I still wear earplugs in pools/ocean just in case.
When I was 2 or 3 my mom said she used to coat cotton balls with Vaseline and put one over the opening to my ears when I took a bath. By the time I was 4 or 5 I used the orange plasic earplugs (the wax ball earplugs are gross and don’t get a good seal).
You’d think with my history I’d have this nailed. Has anyone tried those shampoo visor things?
